Wake County School to Career Web Site

Volunteers are the heart of our community support at Davis Drive Middle. Almost anyone can volunteer. The members of the Parent Teachers Association donate their time to support our school in all its events. Each fall, a Rainbow Packet is distributed to all the parents asking for their support for our School to Career programs. Choosing to volunteer as a Career Fair speaker or host for Job Shadow Day helps continue the programs so important to our students.

Some volunteers may need to fill out an on-line questionnaire so a background check can be performed. This can be done at any school in Wake County and more than one school can be specified if you wish to volunteer at multiple locations. It takes approximately two weeks to perform this check, so volunteers need to allow for this time constraint. Contact the school if you need more information.

Upcoming events are advertised in the PTA newsletter and on their website, on our webite, in daily school announcements and the local news. Anyone wanting to volunteer their time can contact the school at 387-3033 or call the Career Development Coordinator at 387-4411.

Volunteers are also needed on the county level for the Business Alliance Leadership Team and the Wake Education Partnership. If you would like to give your time to a county wide effort, please contact them today.
