All orchestra students will be required to bring the following items to class everyday:

1. Instrument & Bow
   

2. Rosin - I recommend Jade Rosin or Hill Rosin
   

3. Cleaning Cloth anything soft, a washcloth, a cloth diaper, part of an undershirt
   

4. Shoulder Rest – for violins & violas only (I recommend Kun brand)
   

5. 6th Grade Method Book - Essential Elements for Strings 2000 Book 1                           
   

6. 7th Grade Intermediate Class (6th period) - Essential Elements for Strings 2000 Book 2     
   

7. Notebook - Each student needs to purchase a BLACK ½ inch or 1 inch 3 ring binder.  Please get the kind with the clear plastic cover. This notebook will hold their music as well as any handouts from class. Inside their notebook, students should have about 30 clear plastic page protectors to hold their music, 10 sheets of notebook paper and 10 sheets of staff paper.
   

8. Subscription to Smart Music - We will be using a new computer program called Smart Music this year as part of our classroom instruction. Click here to follow directions for downloading Smart Music.
   

9. Pencil Pouch in the front of your notebook, inside this pouch you should have at least 2 pencils and a highlighter at all times.
