Student Life: Library Lead in

Our school library is accessible to all students and staff, with welcoming spaces led by a certified school librarian who provides relevant instruction, leadership, and resources to develop students' skills in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Student Life: Library Support

Library Support

Our library values access, inquiry, literacy, collaboration, privacy, and equity. We support staff and students by connecting them with high-quality resources and instruction to enhance their learning.

We provide the following services to support learning:

  • Instruction - Students learn how to responsibly use and evaluate resources, information, and technology tools.
  • Access to resources - Students check out library books or access digital resources that meet their academic needs or help them explore their interests.
  • Reader’s Advisory - Get suggestions for which book to read next, or which resources to use for a project.

Mission Statement

Welcome to the Davis Drive Middle School Media Center

The Davis Drive Middle School Media Center is a vibrant learning hub that fosters curiosity, creativity, literacy, and lifelong learning. We provide equitable access to books, digital resources, technology, and instructional support that empower students to explore their interests, think critically, and succeed academically.

Through collaboration with teachers and students, the Media Center supports research, digital citizenship, media literacy, and a love of reading. Whether checking out a book, accessing online resources, receiving research assistance, or discovering a new favorite read, students will find the tools and support they need to learn, create, and grow.
